About
Sts Cyprian & Justina Orthodox Church is a traditional English-speaking Orthodox Christian parish serving Auckland and surrounding regions. We are a parish of the Genuine Orthodox Church under the Kallinikos Synod, committed to preserving and living the faith, worship, and life of the Orthodox Church as it has been handed down through the centuries.
Our Parish
Our parish life is centred on the Divine Services of the Church: in prayer, in the hearing of Holy Scripture, in the keeping of the fasts and feasts, and in the steady growth of life in Christ.
At present, our parish gathers in a private chapel and serves faithful throughout Auckland and beyond, with some services also made available by livestream. As the parish grows, we hope to establish services in accessible locations within Auckland as well.
Our Church
Sts Cyprian & Justina Orthodox Church belongs to the Genuine Orthodox Church under the Kallinikos Synod. We understand Orthodoxy not as something to be reinvented for each generation, but as a living tradition to be received with reverence, lived faithfully, and handed on with care.

Our Priest
Father Paul (pictured on the right, with His Grace, Metropolitan Photios on the left) is the priest of Sts Cyprian & Justina Orthodox Church. He was received into the Orthodox Church as an adult and, after a period of spiritual formation that included time in monastic life, followed the traditional path of gradual progression through the clerical ranks before being ordained to the priesthood approximately eighteen years ago.
He serves the parish bi-vocationally, balancing his pastoral responsibilities with his secular profession.
Fr Paul has a particular heart for those exploring Orthodoxy from Protestant backgrounds. With a deep love for Holy Scripture and careful attention to the original biblical languages, he seeks to teach the faith clearly and patiently, helping inquirers encounter the fullness of the Orthodox tradition without confusion or compromise.
His emphasis in parish life is reverent worship, thoughtful preaching, and steady pastoral guidance - encouraging the faithful to grow in repentance, prayer, and a living relationship with Christ.
Our Reader
During periods when Fr Paul is away, the parish continues its life of prayer through services led by our Reader.
As a lifelong Orthodox Christian of Serbian background, he brings with him a deep knowledge of the lived tradition of Orthodox worship and parish life, together with a particular understanding of those who come to our Church from broader Orthodox backgrounds.
